Newfield Exploration Company is an independent crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas. Newfield is focused on domestic, liquids-rich unconventional resource plays, located primarily in the Anadarko and Arkoma basins of Oklahoma, the Williston Basin of North Dakota, the Uinta Basin of Utah and the Maverick and Gulf Coast basins of Texas. The Company also has oil developments offshore China.

The Company’s 2016 priorities are to:

  • Preserve liquidity and financial strength
  • Hold STACK acreage in the Anadarko Basin by production
  • Reduce operating expenses and preserve margins
  • Monetize non-strategic assets

Our Rocky Mountain region's primary focus is oil. Our assets in this region are characterized by long-lived oil production. We are focused primarily in the Uinta Basin of Utah and the Williston Basin of North Dakota.

We have been active in the Mid-Continent since 2001. In 2013, a major focus will be the aggressive assessment of a new 125,000 net-acre position in the "liquids-rich" Cana Woodford play.

The Pearl facility, located in the South China Sea, is currently producing oil and development drilling is ongoing. Net capital investments in China for 2015 are estimated at less than $50 million. 2015 Guidance for our China business will be provided in February 2015.
